A fight between Google Inc. and Microsoft Corp. over online advertising is set to spill into Congress Thursday when both companies testify before a Senate subcommittee.
The Senate Judiciary antitrust subcommittee plans to review Google's proposed acquisition of DoubleClick Inc., an online ad broker that connects Internet platforms such as Google to companies that want to advertise online. The $3.1 billion deal is being reviewed by federal antitrust regulators at the Federal Trade Commission.
