That brings up an interesting situation. Lets say a publisher has 4 sites with AdSense and I purchase one of those sites and put on my AdSense code.
Subsequently the publisher gets banned from AdSense. Would the ads still appear on the site I purchased, and would the rest of my sites be in jeopardy?
Basically when an account gets banned by AdSense, are only the sites active at the time of the banning banned or are all sites ever associated with the account banned?

I would guess they would check for exclusivity (was the other persons code removed the same day that yours was added?) and probably do a whois check. It does also raise a question about AdSense revenue sharing situations, and is one of the reasons I don't do it, and don't recommend it as an option to others.
Anyway, that sounds good; I may ask that guy for a ftp access and put a simple page to check if it's banned or not.
But, generally it's not good. I prefer what kandoole does. Their ads does not appear on non-confirmed domains. As I've read it here before it's possible a sick guy puts your codes on a (e.g.) porn page or sth like that. Also I remember a free hosting company that used to use adsense. How can they trust so many unknown users don't violate the TOS?
They will most likely be fine with it, but if you start running ads without giving them any warning you could trigger some red flags. And that's something you definitely do not want to do.
Nope, not the case.
I bought a couple domains from a guy who got blacklisted. The primary site (the one he applied with) will not show ads. The other ones show ads just fine.
