Well, today, I learned first hand that McAfee is doing the same.
I've had McAfee Firewall installed constantly for the last 6 months and never had a problem viewing my ads. Today, after making some color changes and uploading them to the internet, I couldn't see my ads at all.
Knowing that Norton Firewall blocked ads, I turned my McAfee Firewall off to see if that worked and sure enough, as soon as I turned it off, my ads reappeared following CTRL+F5.
When I turned the Firewall back on, I was able to view the ads for a short period but they eventually disappeared again.
(NOTE: Yesterday, my auto updater for McAfee kicked in but I never bothered to check out what the update was for. This happens a lot and I just ignore it).
Both Norton and McAfee blocking our ads is not good as I wonder how many users have a firewall installed and it's another slice out of our AdSense income. How many other vultures are going to come down and pick a piece out of us until there is nothing left?
AdSense incomed for me dropped 40 percent when Yahoo switched (I am indexed in Yahoo but lost in the SERPs). I lost another 30 percent with Google's March 12 Ides of March update, now this.
What the heck is next? Days like this I want to kill all my websites and go back to my old career.
