Google prompts me to verify my log in. Under 'Choose a new login' I opt for 'Replace my AdWords login with a new Google Account I create'. When confirming existing passwords google informs me to log in with the current log in details. When done I find the same message again (Update your AdWords login to a Google Account)....

Anyone else experiencing the same problems?

A number of users got locked out of their AdSense account after migrating AdWords over to a Google Account:

[webmasterworld.com...]

This happened to me - I sent a support request and a couple of days later they seemed to have fixed it, however there are still signs of discontinuity amongst the various "Google Account" pages.

For example, if I login to the top level Google Accounts page, it still shows Google AdSense under "Try new services"; even though I can now login to AdSense using the same account, or at least I think it's the same account - i'm not really sure at the moment! AdWords isn't mentioned on the top level account page at all.
