Does Anyone Have A Success Story With Clickbank?

Should I bother?

My very first attempt at a website's one year anniversary is approaching. Needless to say, having absolutely no knowledge of SEO, HTML, and website design, the site remains unranked and perhaps has had 15 hits in the last year. I haven't thought about it much until recently, (I'm letting the domain expire, and haven't even looked at it until today in the last 9 months because I have been getting phone calls to promote online casino's based on the name). I was thinking of adding clickbanks affiliate programs to my newest site. I have created 3 succcessful sites since the "bomb", only one has affiliate links, and they are 10 percent of my content. Anyway, I had a bunch of clickbank affiliate links on the loser site that would tie in with my newest site, and was wondering if anyone had any success with them. My leading competitor has made the entire site clickbank links. The site is redundant and hard to read, (it's robot friendly) and clickbank links abound, and I believe the alexa traffic was in the 750,000 range. Google gave a PR 5.(I say leading because the next highest return for our top keyword in a query is a company listed on the stock exchange, I'm within 1,000,000 miles of that, and subsequent results are from major corporations and websites like "about".) How reliable is clickbank from your experience as far as payout? Should I even bother?
Thanks,
JPell

I have always found clickbank to be very good. They always pay on time each fortnight, very reliable. some of the programs they offer can be quite lucrative. Such as paid survey advice etc

Although it makes me sick, clickbank products seem to out perform cj products for me. This is also due to market saturation for popular cj products. No big success story, just a new hobby :)

i have a story just like the the guy above.... well it started by me being suckered into one of those survey programs... then wondering why i was billed by clickbank did research and i saw what was going on and i wanted to do something alike... well 6 months later i finally threw up a crap page ... which was today btw but before that all i did was try to learn how to make sites and a copy of asp.net books later i throw together a page i could have had in the first place without any fo the knowledge i attained in that six months...
