My very first attempt at a website's one year anniversary is approaching. Needless to say, having absolutely no knowledge of SEO, HTML, and website design, the site remains unranked and perhaps has had 15 hits in the last year. I haven't thought about it much until recently, (I'm letting the domain expire, and haven't even looked at it until today in the last 9 months because I have been getting phone calls to promote online casino's based on the name). I was thinking of adding clickbanks affiliate programs to my newest site. I have created 3 succcessful sites since the "bomb", only one has affiliate links, and they are 10 percent of my content. Anyway, I had a bunch of clickbank affiliate links on the loser site that would tie in with my newest site, and was wondering if anyone had any success with them. My leading competitor has made the entire site clickbank links. The site is redundant and hard to read, (it's robot friendly) and clickbank links abound, and I believe the alexa traffic was in the 750,000 range. Google gave a PR 5.(I say leading because the next highest return for our top keyword in a query is a company listed on the stock exchange, I'm within 1,000,000 miles of that, and subsequent results are from major corporations and websites like "about".) How reliable is clickbank from your experience as far as payout? Should I even bother?
