As anyone who has installed FireFox lately knows, the default homepage is rather uninspiring. It's been suggested over at MozillaZine that a portal-style site be setup to be the new FireFox homepage beginning with 1.0. More details here [forums.mozillazine.org]. (Yes I started that particular thread, but others have mentioned the same idea before.)

Anyway, in order to get such a site going in time for the 1.0 release, there obviously need to be people to work on it. So is there anyone here with a little spare time, who likes FireFox and the Mozilla project, who would like to join in this project? It's lacking steam at the moment, but I think we'll be able to get it going fine once a few basic details get ironed out, most notably hosting and maintainence.

If this isn't the place to post a topic like this, the mods may feel completely free to rename/move/delete it.

Sure - count me in. Not at all sure what I could do to help.... beta test most likely, as my html writing time is pretty well used on my business....

I'm not bad at brainstorming, and I'm DARN good at subtle color schemes - not gray, but not far off....

Yes, I actually emailed those guys a long time offering to help them, but nobody answered, I'm interested. I've already helped on a side project of mozdev, but wouldn't mind getting more involved.

I would also be interested in taking part in something like this. My tiny resistance against redmondzilla ;-D
