I am working with a finance site that receives traffic from google finance.
I am convince that what google claims is google finance traffic in analytics is not accurate.
I can check google.com/finance traffic through --> All referrals-->google.com--> /finance
On theory, this is google finance traffic but the numbers are really low.
Now...If I check the traffic in Keywords-->organic and type in the search box ":" (colon). I get 5 times more traffic (then referrals /finance) from keywords like "nasdaq:aapl" "nasdaq:fb", etc..
Im pretty sure people dont search with keywords like this in google. I know for a fact that this is the referall keyword that google gives when coming from pages like this [google.com
So, does anyone have a similar experience with this and how can I accurate measure the traffic from google finance?
Thanks guys, anything helps!
