My first post in this forum! (Hope it's in the correct place)
I've read up on this topic already, and so far it's to no avail.
My most recent clients Analytics is not showing anything under the AdWords or paid traffic sections - instead his site just seems to be receiving a lot of direct traffic.
In AdWords, the auto tagging is turned on, and as far as I'm aware the accounts are paired correctly by an administrator on both accounts (not me, but have seen confirmation emails of this).
The tracking code is on each page, and is the new version.
The site is running Actinic (horrible) shop software - not sure if there's a redirect issue here throwing it all off?
I have a few questions to ask before going to my client to ask them to edit the html as he might be apprehensive.
- Does the below tracking code look correct, and is it ok to be before the /BODY tag rather than in the head as preferred?
- Is this the correct method of implementing the script within Actinic? - I believe it is by looking through forums.
- Is there anything else that could be causing this - Ecommerce in Analytics is working fine, and so are page impressions. I just really want to begin to track the ROI of the AdWords spend for once!

- note the 'test_shop' appended to the beginning of the URL - never seen this before!
