Swingly is different from other Q&A sites that you might know and love. Instead of relying on humans to ask (and answer) questions, Swingly uses automated systems (based on natural language processing) in order to convert Web documents into question-answer pairs...
Natural language processing allows Swingly to find answers wherever they can be found on the Internet. Since we're generating Q&A pairs directly from the text of documents (or tweets or YouTube comments), we can hunt answers down, (largely) without any help from humans. While we do incorporate some information from human-curated data sources (like Freebase or Wikipedia) -- and we do include some questions and answers found on other answer sites -- the vast majority of the question-answer pairs in our index (more than 100 billion at last count) were 100% created by machines.
