| hourly spending limit?

We are a small-scale web portal focusing on parent news and have been using Yahoo searching marketing for sometime. As there is only limited budget for online ads, we found that our daily limit are quickly spent in a few hours.
I just wonder if there is such a thing as hourly spending limit control? I've spent some time searching for this, but can't find anything.
I am quite new in online ad, so sorry if it is a dumb question. And any advise for limiting budget and increasing effectiveness would be welcome.

Suggestion: try reducing your bids. You can often get more results out of a limited budget by bidding less per click.
Your ads would run at a lower rank, but they'd be showing a larger percentage of the time.
The ideal would be to find a balance point that leaves you with about five cents remaining in your budget at the last minute of the day.

Although, it's like closing the store for a coffee/lunch break. You are potentially turning away business.
