I would like to see my YSM data in Google Analytics along with my Adwords and other campaign information.
From what I've read it seems that the only way to do this is to add Google campaign tracking links to every ad in YSM, which would be quite laborious.
Or I found this link on the Analytics help site [google.com ] which suggests that you can map alternative variables to the equivalent Google ones (I don't know whether this causes any harm to the normal adwords/campaign tracking?)
However, as these are the YSM tracking variables, it looks like there are none that identify the source as Yahoo, the medium as ppc or the campaign etc:
OVKEY - the keywords you purchased on
OVMTC - the match type
OVKWID- keyword ID
OVRAW - actual search query
OVADID- creative ID
It appears that the only ones which could be utilised in this way are OVKEY or OVRAW. So it looks like we're back to manually tagging all the links.
Has anyone else addressed this issue and managed to find another way of doing this, or did you manually tag the links?
