Im confused with the match types. It seems to me that if im selling tv, i can just put tv as a keyword and put advanced and then i dont have to do anything else. But it dosent make much sense, because then why is so important to find keywords. It might be a very simple question, but im sure even if you know the answer is hard to explain, my boss have been trying to, to the point that i have her thinking now ,, if we should by biding on a lot of keywords? or just bid on a few and put advanced... i dont really see whats the use of standard, if in some way advanced covers standard.,... please help....

If you just entered TV as a keyword with advanced (broad) match, you would get clicks for terms like tv news, tv programs, tv tuners, tv rabbit ears, etc. Advanced seldom works well with the generic single word keywords.

thanks for your help.. But again going to the example of tvs... if im selling tv... why should i bid on color tv, flat tv, cheap tv,, if by placing tv as keyboard and selecting advanced all be covering those spots... it just makes me feel is a waste of money to bid on so many posibilities if the broad match cover that..
