Is Something Wrong With Yahoo Seach Marketing?

 3:18 pm on Apr 23, 2008 (gmt 0)

It seems like ever since the announcement of the Adwords test, something isn't quite right with YSM. Conversions are way down and the keywords and search relevancy is much, much worse lately. It certainly fells like something isn't right? Anyone?

If you ask me, sonething went wrong the minute Yahoo bought Overture. I used to love Overture. So easy to use. I barely use this mess of a program now. Too bad.

I know this mini-rant didn't deal direct with your post, but the money/admin feature is messing up for me the last week or so and well - I'm kinda angry with them right now. Just looking to vent.

To answer your question, we have not seen any major changes since the Adwords test announcement. To Hunsters point, YSM seems to have broken awhile ago and if you through the posts in this forum you will find others having major problems.

It seems to take forever for any campaign to go live for me :(

I have only a 30% overlap between the KWS that do well in Y versus G.. So Y abse and G base are very different. When Y showed its ads to G users, your (an my) conversions dropped...

Add google to your domain exclusion list in Yahoo. And make sure you stop receiving Google traffic in panama. That did it for me..
