Hello Yaroni, Quality Index is updated every day. It is calculated for each keyword of your campaign, but it is shown in a 1-5 blue colored bar for each group. At the beginning of your campaign it's calculated according the segment of your business and the expected performances. According to the different segment quality index could be calculated (and be "active" in the YSM ecosystem) within few days or more days could be necessary for a different segment. After quality index is calculated on real performances of your campaign, keywords, ctr, and your competitors. According to a patent of Yahoo landing page is no so relevant as in Google AdWords. There is also mention in the same patent to conversion rate as element that influences the quality score. I never try to test this last thing but it could be interesting. Best regards

Hi there, Just want to confirm that the quality index is updated daily – provided your ad had impressions yesterday. Also, when you create a new ad, your quality index is initially based on various factors for the keyword and ad. You may not see a quality index displayed in your account until the day after your first impression is recorded. Thanks YahooPete

According to the patent I know Yahoo is ranking ads and establishing quality index also using fuzzy logic. But in the patent there's also mention to conversion rate as possible factor, more or less relevant, for QI. Could you tell something about conversion rate?

MisterJinx, My best advice- you should focus on making your ads as attractive, relevant, and accurate as possible to your target audience. By doing so this may increase your conversion rate. It may also increase your ad’s click through rate, which may influence your ad’s quality index. Sorry I can’t offer more specifics but I hope that helps. For my campaigns I'm following all Yahoo suggestions with good results. Nothing personal, but you should read in my previous question the curiosity to test in scientific way all aspects of YSM. "towards extreme".
