In our office we have two companies that both have a few accounts with Yahoo! Search Marketing. We really enjoy the traffic Yahoo! sends and overall it has been profitable for us. However here is the rub. We all come outbound on one IP and when we are making a lot of changes to bids/ads and such. We occasionally get the dreaded Error 999 message that we should scan our computer for viruses blah blah.
Several calls to YSM support have led to reps telling me to randomly rotate IPs to get by this situation. That is alot easier said than done as we only have a few within the same subnet available, and rotating IPs can break certain session related apps, i.e. the YSM dashboard.
YahooPete or anyone else out there. Are you telling me that if you are on track to spend over $1 million with Yahoo! this year, there is no way to get our static IP whitelisted? Even if we are hitting Yahoo! "alot" within a time frame, I would think our spend has earned us the right too.
In addition, sometimes the ban is so debilitating that we literally lose money on Yahoo! those days as we can no longer edit our bids until the ban is lifted, which may take several hours in some circumstances.
