Seeing a bit more traffic from Yahoo today. Nice increases in rankings across the board for me--for whatever that's worth.
I'm seeing a small but statistically insignificant increase from Yahoo!
My G analytics seems to be achtung today. The Dashboard is showing conflicting values and says I had more visitors than visits, not possible.
JS_Harris strange you said that as we are seeing GA stats off as well. On one site it is almost double the number I get on statcounter.
On topic seeing some drops in the sites I work but will let it work itself out till I can see what is happening. I am seeing some really spammy linking sites much to high for the cheap links they are showing.
Yahoo search does it still exist, I remember a site of mine was baned be cause a link exchange site was linking to my site, the problem was that I did not link to any sites, still dont, still site was baned 4 years ago, + they baned the whole IP block about 5 sites and trust me no of those site has anything to do with seo, link exchange or bad content, still they baned whole block since then Im blocking yahoo to list any of my sites and there are a few very popular once, but those will never be reached through yahoo.
We had been showing a steady increase in traffic until yesterday (March 10th). Today, we've lost about 20% of our traffic from Y!.
This is a pattern that seems to repeat with each update. After the update we drop in ranking but slowly climb back before the next update.
Like what I see. The search result for my widget term smartly shows the latest Description, and picks up the descriptive introduction smartly skipping over a picture and ads. Best of all, it skips over the usual silly Wiki, government or tourist (government) boards first place results some search engines show. Is this Bing search at work or maybe human edited?
They are showing lots of love for Wikipedia.
If you want to have a belly laugh have a look at the results in Australia. However I'm afraid to say this is a normal day here.
Yahoo announced a search update at [ysearchblog.com...]
Does anyone notice any changes in the SERPs or in your referrals?
I'm seeing huge differences not in the results but the output...5 natural results for some queries instead of the usual 10 and quite frankly I like it shortened like this. Top 5 or go home.......
DeVille. You are right. #1 for my widget on Australia but the rest is Wikipedia, government and tourism board (government) two other quality competitors followed by junk and a couple scraper sites.
I've had Yahoo traffic on one page skyrocket (more than cumulative traffic for the rest of the site combined from Yahoo), and am happy to confirm that Yahoo visitors do seem to favor Adsense. Daily revenue has nearly doubled for the site since the update.
My site conversions went down since the last 3 days, i am not sure if the update has any effect on my yahoo paid listings.
conversions off severely here in the past few days. total traffic remains consistent, but nothing is converting. how is this possible?
