|Yahoo to be default search engine in Ubuntu|
| 4:50 pm on Jan 27, 2010 (gmt 0)|
The synopsis is this. Via a revenue sharing agreement, the default search engine for firefox that will be shipped with ubuntu (an extremely popular version of Linux) will now be Yahoo! search.
And by Yahoo! search, they mean 'not Google'.
Not earth shattering, but interesting.

I agree, very nice to see Yahoo! scoop up what Google and Bing would also have wanted. I suppose ubuntu being different meant that they wanted to go a different (ie:not Google or Bing) way.

Well I guess Yahoo is a search engine after all. Great to hear they're making deals.
