I've always managed to get Google to see what I want it to see i.e. My page title and page description for the SERP but Yahoo is a different story. The title is fine - it seems to display the page title on the SERP but the description is a mix of the meta description and the page content - because my main nav is usually at the top of the page then it more often than not picks this up and so looks pretty ugly in the search results.
