Forums are notoriously BAD for duplicate content. Do you use a robots.txt file to block off duplicate pages, print pages, etc.? It depends on what script you are using as well. I would rewrite your URLs so they are NOT dynamic as well (not ?phpsessionid434243, but rather /forums/this-post.html). There is a LOT than can be wrong but we would need more info on exactly how you are set up, etc...

urls are rewritten and much is stripped from the forum pages. They perform very well in google. I do need to have a look at the robots.txt file and exclude some things that aren't probably already excluded. thanks.
