The advertisers are starting to increase bids and exposure as Christmas nears.

True! Since I first posted, Yahoo seems to have a dramatic flux from high to low. Rev went down the next day, but today seems up again. I've been doing this long enough with both Adsense and Yahoo to understand the fluxes. Yahoo is either really high or really low. Adsense wavers, but generally stays the same, they don't experience the extremely high rev. like Yahoo (nor the really low, lows). If Yahoo had the real time channel tracking feature we could figure out how to play this game better :)

Yea we seen a 70% jump last nite....I thought I seen a ghost with the revenue we seen last nite compared to the last 6 months....looks like Yahoo Advertisers spend more around this time...its goood to see life left in the network after all.Lets see if all continues.

Our epc has nearly doubled in the last couple of days. Not on all pages but on a few strategic ones. Noticed this last year, too. The fall and winter were quite good and then epc fell off the map once Spring came. So enjoy it while it lasts.

Yep! I'm seeing it here today...in a BIG way. Just changed out most of Google to ride the wave.

I'm not seeing any jump! Curses! I had seen a huge jump weeks back but definitely nothing at the moment.

Hmmm, maybe it is category specific. This is not generally a time when revenue goes up in our industry. The rates tripled yesterday and today....please keep going!

What about ad targeting? Is it improving? FarmBoy

Ad targeting is still frustrating, although it does seem to help if you remove the YPN code, put another company's code on for a few days and then put YPN code back on the page. It gives the YPN coding gods time to regroup, apparently. But sometimes, the targeting is very good when we first upload a page and then 2 hours later it reverts to showing the same old ads over and over. Hence, the frustration.

I noticed something recently too. Had a horrible September with both Adsense and YPN. But YPN seems to have picked up in October. (Looks both ways before continuing message...) I recently purchased a set of "Adsense sites" and decided to put up a second copy on another domain with YPN ads - surprise, the Ad targetting kicked in right away and was showing relevant ads for each topic. YAY!
