That's tricky. Just remember Tropicana and J.C. Penney who had their audiences frown at their new updated logos and switched back. Although a new logo every day, for thirty days, may get some media coverage, it might also have a negative effect.

If I've read this right, they are going to have some kind of public vote on each to decide the final one? If so I immensely dislike the idea of using some kind of open peer group to decide the company identity. Folk in their brand management team must be trembling - some of the 30 ideas will be weak, and perversely popular. Like a giant focus group, it should be treated with a giant pinch of salt.
Or have they already chosen it? And are just doing a 'Google logo theme' thing to get some press? I'm a bit confuddluated by the whole thing - and that's an issue; lack of clear communication.

A big corporate company is gonna let public voting decide their future? Have they never heard of 4chan? 4chan & public voting sent the rapper Pitbull to Alaska and sent Taylor Swift to perform at school for the deaf.
The only way to make this crazier is if Yahoo allowed public submissions, then the trolls at 4chan could really go crazy.
