XML/XSLT Website
Are there advantages in XML/XSLT vs (X)HTML?

Msg#: 4248270 posted 12:25 pm on Jan 2, 2011 (gmt 0)

I'm about to create a new website and was wondering if it would be advantageous in any way to have XML/XSLT markup instead of HTML or XHTML?
I usually go with either HTML 4.01 or XHTML 1.1 depending on the site in question.

Any comments will be appreciated.

Unless you are dealing with a data feed or some other XML source I would not consider XML/XSLT, even in that case the XML/XSLT processing is arguably better done on the server, generating (X)HTML.

Thought so...
Guess it's pointless to swap from (X)HTML then.
