As of now, i have browse and searched several forums and discussion boards but didn't found any query related to my XML sitemap issues.

I have two queries:
1) Does XML site map format matters for indexing ?
2) XML sitemap indexing getting down, what to do ?

Explanation 1:

Regarding XML formats, i just mean to say that putting tags each time in a new line or putting all URL's in a single line

e.g.

<url><loc>http://www.example.com/details.asp?t=23</loc><lastmod>2009-10-08</lastmod><priority>0.8</priority></url>

<url><loc>http://www.example.com/details.asp?t=24</loc><lastmod>2009-10-08</lastmod><priority>0.8</priority></url>

<url><loc>http://www.example.com/details.asp?t=25</loc><lastmod>2009-10-08</lastmod><priority>0.7</priority></url>

<url><loc>http://www.example.com/details.asp?t=26</loc><lastmod>2009-10-08</lastmod><priority>0.7</priority></url>

OR

<url><loc>http://www.example.com/details.asp?t=23</loc><lastmod>2009-10-08</lastmod><priority>0.8</priority></url><url><loc>http://www.example.com/details.asp?t=24</loc><lastmod>2009-10-08</lastmod><priority>0.8</priority></url><url><loc>http://www.example.com/details.asp?t=25</loc><lastmod>2009-10-08</lastmod><priority>0.7</priority></url><url><loc>http://www.example.com/details.asp?t=26</loc><lastmod>2009-10-08</lastmod><priority>0.7</priority></url>

Explanation 2:

I have about 10 XML sitemaps with 30000 submitted URL's in each. Indexing is getting down day by day. As of now the URL's are getting submitted on the basis of last modification or refresh date in ascending order to sitemap1, sitemap2, sitemap3......

So if someone has faced similiar issues and tried to research and resolve these issues then please give your valuable comments here.

re Explanation 1: doesn't matter. Both are valid XML. The new lines are merely for human readability
