Wordpress only accepts lower case URL's. How to manage ? Whitey msg:4637309 10:23 am on Jan 14, 2014 (gmt 0) Our developer is saying that migrating an old site with url's in upper and lowercase is not possible to go onto Wordpress in the same format. They say WP only accepts lower case. With all the sensitivity around Google these days, I'm nervous about changing the url structures and/or using 301 redirects until the migration is complete and the SEO is stabilised. Is there an easy solution to avoid this irritating detail, and does it matter ? Nervous :)

There's a nice explanation over on StackExchange: [ ...] wordpress.stackexchange.com If I were you, I'd find any way I could to migrate the URL structure into the lowercase default. While you may take an initial hit in the SERPs while the engines figure out what happened, I believe you'll bounce back in force and better if you've done your due diligence for what you can control.
