Wordpress e-commerce for event registration

Does anyone know of a nice WP e-commerce solution that handles

- event registration (paid events, like a gala soiree or maybe a less gala cookout)

- club memberships - this is NOT for a membership website. The site is free. This is to sell memberships for the club.

One key consideration, a given purchaser should be able, for both events and memberships, but able to buy

- individual
- individual plus other family members (adult and child prices)
- and package deals (discount on family memberships, for example).

And be able to enter all member names at some point so they appear on the receipt and in the admin records.

Can be done with Drupal, but the site managers would rather be on Wordpress if there's a good solution on the e-commerce end.

Could be done several different ways. Take a look at FoxyCart (SaaS) and FoxyPress (plugin that talks to FoxyCart). Easiest and safest method (PCI compliance is in FoxyCart's hands).

Well, you've mentioned it enough times, so I finally signed up for a developer account. Very interesting solution. It took me a while to realize that it doesn't manage your products at all. It literally just provides the checkout process, so I guess any form I can build, it can process.

Integrates with a lot more than Wordpress too.

Correct - but FoxyPress does - it provides a cart solution for a WordPress install.

>>FoxyPress

Thanks. Haven't gotten quite that far yet.

And actually, given that the forms can get complex as I mentioned initially, the fact that FoxyCart doesn't make many assumptions about the presentation/data collection end is quite attractive.
