Hello, how do i move 5 wordpress sites to a "new" server.

The reason i put the word new in quote is that the server i intend to migrate the 5 sites to is owned by the same company but i am having two account with them.

I have 5 sites on each of the two accounts which are on shared server accounts with diffrence IP Addresses.

I have attempted to do this but the outcome was not successful because after i downloaded and restored the 5 site files and their DataBase using Cpanel i could only find 2 out of the 5 sites domain names(the root domain and one add-on) and folders in the cpanel file manager.

In fact i could not find the Wp-includes folder for the add-on domain when i expanded it.

I don't know what i am doing wrong. Please give me step by step on how to go about it.

PS: I registered all my domain names with the company, so their DNS are the same.

Thanks.

Are you sure this isn't a problem with your host and/or DNS?

First question: Does "can't find" mean that the files aren't there when you FTP-or-equivalent into the new directory? Or do you mean that you can't browse to them?

Oh, i just realized that the files did not complete download so some files are missing.

I am now using FTP to download another one and the Files megabytes have surpassed the one i initial uploaded

The first is 141MB, but the one i am downloading is nearing over 700MB plus!

Same host? Can't they move the files for you?

Do you have access to WHM on both servers, or just cPanel?
