There are Copy & Paste add-ons for browsers that let you sync the clipboard between machines. Do you have anything like that installed? If not, what sort of network is this? Do you have a domain, workgroup, or home group?

Both Pc's are win 7 with the same home group. There is nothing installed and it happens outside of the browser as well. We were able to reproduce the issue several times. I'll copy something, then before I paste I'll have my co-worker copy something, then I'll paste and boom, there it is, what he had copied and not what I had. It also work's in reverse too!

Also note: just rebooted my machine and now the issue is gone! So either this was a bug or some hidden setting that we enabled momentarily.

Well, you did say you were using the same username on both machines. Did you have your Windows Live account attached to this username?

No, nothing with windows live account. Really strange since after the re-boot it doesn't happen anymore. So at the very least we know that our clipboard data is traveling through the network. Interesting...

Ok, I think we figured it out! We both stay connected to our office music pc using tight VNC. When we are both connected to this PC with the same VNC account it see's us as the same person and therefore shares the clipboard data. Crazy! Wonder if I should share this with the developers at tight VNC
