No...like seriously no. WordPress code is absolutely atrocious and many people can never get theme A to work with plugin B, it's full of security holes...I could go on and on. Wordpress has features that makes it attractive to first time site builders, but does lack in flexibility of home-rolled (learned by experience) sites. The BEST advice is to create content worthy of attention by web denizens FIRST then worry about the framework second... no content, no website.
