Apache Crashing On adding php_mysqli.dll on WAMP

Msg#: 4211274 posted 10:59 pm on Oct 4, 2010 (gmt 0)

So I've been installing on my own computer Apache and PHP, and this went well. The versions are: php-5.2.14-win32-installer httpd-2.2.16-win32-x86-no_ssl

And I've been trying to install Mysql support with no luck. I tried a few changes to the php.ini file, and understood that as soon as i enter

And restart Apache, the server just crashes.

Any ideas?

B.T.W-MySql version: mysql-essential-5.1.51-win32

And I'm running Windows XP SP2

Hi WideBlace, first of all Welcome to WebmasterWorld!

Apache normally maintains error log files with messages of what doesn't go right internally. You might first look there to see if that gives more information.

The second thing which comes to my mind is that dhe php_mysqli.dll exists, but that the PATH setting for the Apache service doesn't contain the directory where the dll can be found.
