You have created CNAME records to the IP addresses of the Google servers. If you change them to A records, the references to your domain without the www should work. The other problem is a missing dot "." in the last line. Without a dot at the end, a DNS record ghs.google.com is translated to ghs.google.com.mydom.com The correct line with the dot at the end of the domain name is: www.mydom.com. 3600 IN CNAME ghs.google.com.
