All day I have been trying to go to OpenID.net but no matter which browser/machine I use or which OpenID.net page I target, I am prompted to download a "Stuffit" file, which comes with the file extension ".gz.sit"

Anyone else noticed anything?

I haven't seen it mentioned on other places on the Internet yet. It could be malware on your computer trying to get your password. I would recommend running a malware scanner on your computer or at least try access to OpenID from another computer to check if the same error message appears.

I'm getting the same thing at my end. The file it's prompting you to download is a gzipped copy of their front page. Could be a server misconfiguration on their end.
