Have looked into [en.wikipedia.org...] was wondering on any tips on how best to setup this method.

CNAME records are pretty easy to set up. Perhaps you could describe to us the problem you're hoping to solve? :-)

thanks for the reply, yes they are easy, but someone wanted me to set up in different domains, just wanted to be sure it was not possible.

I'm not entirely sure what you mean. A CNAME can point to a different domain...
e.g. www.webmasterworld.com could be a CNAME for someserver.example.com
Perhaps you can explain the problem in a bit more detail?
