Hi -

I'd like to add 30 second to 1 minute clips on my site of streaming HD video to get an edge on my competition(camping, outdoors stuff). My quesiton is, just how much bandwidth will a 30 second HD video take from my server? And has anyone found this to be detrimental to their service? Should I just stick with standard video for web use?

Thanks for any comments.

Sure...You'll need to set up your server or pay to use someone elses for streaming

Whatever kbps you've used to make the video is your bandwidth.

Cutting edge is mp4 progressive streaming where no setup or extra expense is necessary. It displays while it's downloading. A decent display of 720x400 seems to be around 1000kbps, a fraction of 25mbps used in HDV
