Third Party Links Appearing On Their Own

I am relatively new to Wordpress. However, by now I am able to run a blog comfortably using it. I recently googled by blog and came across some of its cache pages...I was shocked to see so many of them having more than 20 unfavourable links to a number of third party sites (all appearing above the posts). I don't know how this is possible and what I can do to remove the same. I have checked the code of the blog via design tab under themes and have not been able to track any code that may be objectionable.

Don't know if this is relevant but I was having some technical problems recently with the blog and it was down for a week. Now that the problem has been rectified, I thought of checking how its doing. Needless to say, the blog has a grey bar in terms of PR.

What should I do?

You should probably explore your posts as it *sounds* like you're a victim of mySQL injection or cross-site scripting, or a combination of both.

Make sure your WP install is updated as they are often targets of such attacks, and there are frequent updates to patch these vulnerabilities. You can find relevant topics here with similar searches by entering the following in a Google search:

Wordpress injection site:webmasterworld.com
