I have a beta site set up on my IIS server. I have it password-protected using basic authentication and integrated windows authentication. There is one user out there who says that when he types the url into the address bar in either IE7, he is not prompted to enter a username/password. Instead the browser hangs indefinitely.

I confirmed that he's entering the correct url.

Since he is the only one reporting this problem, could it be due to one of his browser settings?

Browser or computer settings maybe. Have him reset his settings to default to see what happens or use another browser to see if the problem persists. If I were you I'd try to narrow down where it's coming from by reproducing the problem.
