hi there,

I thought it would be straight forward to add a "Share on Facebook" link to my site.
For each page of content that people wish to share, I'd have a dynamic link as follow: [facebook.com...]

easy huh?

Now here is my problem.
My websites is encoded in ISO-8859-1 whereas Facebook is encoded in UTF-8. So when I "share" a page of my site on fb, it comes up in Facebook with rather silly characters.

Anyone has ever experienced a similar problem?
Any help would be really appreciated.

This won't directly answer your question, but you may want to look into converting your site to UTF-8:
  • Converting from ISO-8859-1 to UTF-8 [webmasterworld.com]
