I have a domain (say ABC.com) and a subdirectory in that domain called sub like(ABC.com/sub)

Now i am shifting to a new domain say (XYZ.com)

I want to redirect the traffic coming to the URL [ABC.com...]
to be taken to my new domain [XYZ.com...]

How do i do this if i own the domains ABC and XYZ both and using DNS settings only?

You can't.

Redirect is an HTTP function, not a DNS function. It can only be done by a web server.
