| If I use my D drive(Windows Recovery) to house my home server.?

I do not use Windows Recovery which is on my D drive. I was thinking I would erase all the files there and use it to house my little server program, Abyss Web Server, and that this might serve to protect my computer from worms, trojans or attacks that will come if I leave port 80 open.
I use GOBACK instead of Windows Recovery. It works great. Should I also install GOBACK on my D drive? Would this be a way to protect my computer while I leave port 80 open? If something bad happens in my D drive, will it affect my C drive?
