Wow, sorry to hear of this.
Marcia was def. a WebmasterWorld icon.
Marcia was a presence here on WebmasterWorld, but more so when I first met her at ?Boston? Pubcon and then worked with her as mods over at SEW. She always had extremely good advice and guidance that helped quite often in my search marketing career. I will remember her fondly.
my goodness, sorry for your loss ... i remember her very well from my early days here, she was always worth reading!
So sad. I knew she was not active here lately, but people come and go and you just assume they're busy. She was a great and wise contributor. My condolences.
very sad, Marcia was great, my condolences
Sorry to hear about your loss Samantha. Marcia was a great administrator and a very active member of these forums.
I'm so sorry for your loss Samantha. I remember Marcia well from my early days on this site. She was one of the people you could look up to, and knew so much.
A great debater, moderator and administrator.
Hopefully Tedster and Marcia can start a discussion group on the farside.
Very sad to hear. She was a great help to me, and obviously many others.
So sorry to hear this news, she'll be truly missed. Definitely was a great asset to WebmasterWorld.
Very sad news, I never knew her that well but when ever she posted I always took note - she really knew her stuff!
I am sorry to hear this. She was a great person. I was just looking back on some old threads remembering things she said. She had a pretty funny comment on the thread where I announced I was getting married 10 years ago.
Im so sorry to hear this, I wish you and you family all the strength that it need to go on in your life's. I did have some good conversations with her, she will be missed.
Aw, this is sad to read. Marcia joined up several months after I did in 2000. I remember looking forward to reading her posts and I also recall it took her less than 2 years to hit 3k posts.
You could always count on her to show up in the epic "Google Dance" threads and hold down the fort.
RIP Marcia and thank you for everything that you contributed to here.
Sad news indeed. Many pleasant memories of Marcia, the way she helped those who needed it (Woz puts hand up) and they way she used the stick on those who needed it (Woz puts hand up). Vale Marcia, many thanks for all the selfless help you gave to others.
Again, thank you so very much for all the kind words. I was going through some of her stuff today and found printouts of keyword research (go figure), a few printouts of WebmasterWorld forum posts, as well as her badge from Pubcon 2003 in Boston. I remember how excited she was to attend.
Sad news indeed. We had some great discussions on here over the years and she was a big big help many times. Marcia made a impact in more ways than anyone will most likely ever know.
Very sad to hear this. Marcia helped me with many problems long ago. God bless you and your family.
Sorry to learn about your loss. She was very active here. May her soul rest in peace.
I haven't met her, and I'm sad that I'll never get a chance to. But it's even sadder to know about your loss. :( My most heartfelt condolences, Samantha.
Very sad to hear this and sorry She was a great person, she'll be truly missed and its not only your loss but also lost of web master world. May her soul rest in peace.
While looking up her portfolio, it seems her last words on WebmasterWorld were: 'Nuff said. [webmasterworld.com]
Latecomer to this thread due to a lengthy trip. Samantha, condolences on your loss. I had the pleasure of meeting Marcia at Pubcon Boston, which may have been her only in-person appearance. I was fairly new to the community, and she was very welcoming.
Thank you so very much. Yes, Pubcon Boston was her only in-person appearance. I'm so glad all of you have such kind words to say.
I just arrived back in Austin yesterday. While going through my mom's belongings in California, I found several file boxes filled with her SEO research, including printouts of WebmasterWorld forum threads; many of which had little margin notes or sections highlighted.
It truly makes my heart happy to see that she had such an impact on so many of you.
Very sorry to hear this.
I remember Marcia's name as one of those that sounded strong to me when I started at WW, and also as I was maturing by reading through numerous posts of my interest. I believe I had replies from her in some instances as well.
My sincere sympathy.
Samantha, I also want to offer my deepest sympathies to you and your family. I am sorry to hear this news. Indeed, the messages listed here are a testimony to the great extent of her compassion for people. I am a first hand witness of that (online) as she mentored me in my early days along with jatar_k in forum moderation and administration. Top notch woman. My condolences.
