I have no idea what this is about, but I'm going to guess that someone created an account using my email address.
However, I don't want to get any emails from you.
I just got one, and there was no unsubscribe option. My first reaction to any unsolicited email that lacks an unsubscribe option, or one that requires me to sign in or recover a password, is to report it as spam.
I have looked at the account options and I do not see a delete option or any way to request zero correspondence from this site.

That's not very cool... :(
If the post by "SueBee" in this thread [webmasterworld.com] from July 2006 doesn't look familiar, then going to the WebmasterWorld Control Panel->Edit Profile and deleting your e-mail address would likely do it.

Sorry you didn't remember or got your email hacked. Someone:
- using a very similar IP to yours (on your c block): - created an account with your email address - validated that email by clicking back - then proceeded to post a fairly detailed message under that nick: [webmasterworld.com...]

Oooooh. How embarrassing, forgetting you created an account. Though I've got grumpy for the same reason before. someone emails me something unrelated, turns out I did a drive by account creation like last century.
I think maybe the moral of the story is, when you email blast forums use some criteria like 'if < 10 posts, must have visited in the last 2 years'.
