"Let me just say - this is the first of some long over due changes to the homepage. " Let me tell you that in my experience, the one thing that users hate more than a change is multiple changes. Lump them together as much as you can or the screaming will not end!

At the very least can we go back to the original spacing of the features threads. It looks like there is something very wrong.

Thank goodness the change didn't happen at the beginning of April. I like change - once I get used to it. And no, Eleanor did not get ahold of the command and control center. If the site ever gets turned several shades of pink, then you'll know it was the little boss. :) I think everyone needs a change like this now and then - it knocks us all out of our complacency and requires paying attention once again.

We are all commenting on this without knowing the objectives of these changes. If we knew then we would be able to qualify the comments. What are the objectives?

While I can work with the design of the front page on my blackberry tour (not ideal but workable) the "messages" column in the individual forums is a big issue. Not sure if it was like this before the update or not but I wonder if that should be reviewed?

I always keep my bookmarks in view to the left. Now with home page navigation to the left, the left side of my monitor is sagging. Not to mention all those desktop icons to the left. Sorry, Navigation should be next to the scroll bar, far more user friendly and balanced when you consider the entire desktop landscape. I know there is this silly knob that clicks loudly in the center of the mouse, but I like to surf fast and with stealth. Can't beat free design input! Anyway content is king, and WW has that! (Hey that's free too!)

I like the change (personally prefer left nav to right). I am not happy with the line-height spacing on the front page, but that's a minor.

| Who wants to spend any time on WW on a blackberry? ;) I see that we now have quick ways of adding HTML formatting to replies but not on the Quick Reply. Why not offer the same functionality there?

| Me and I suspect a sufficient percentage of other users and contributors would also.

| At the risk of being pedantic, I suspect the Quick reply is for replying quickly - so the fancy formatting is not required. ;)

| OK, I just posted this using the quick reply. For the quote above I had to type in the quote tags long hand. If I had a button to do this wouldn't this be quicker? (It would in my logic.)

| You do, in the standard "reply to this topic" ;) The quick reply was never intended to enable adding any code. etc.

Is there a problem with the adding of ul's? I just used the new options and the text size in the UL increased. See [webmasterworld.com...]

^ ditto that. It's uncanny, but I definitely have cut down on my visitation since the redesign. Creature of consistency or not wanting to reward a mistake - I'm not sure which.

I may get used to the new design/page structure eventually, but after several visits I still find it odd to have the navigation on the left. | At the very least can we go back to the original spacing of the features threads. It looks like there is something very wrong. |
| I agree.

I really like the "Style Code Error" feature! Just ran into it, and REALLY appreciate it! Thanks for that goodie. :)
