Introducing a dinosaur (myself)

 7:59 am on Nov 23, 2009 (gmt 0)

Hi all!
I happened about this forum when searching for a solution for a particular problem. And happy I did! Looking promising here! :)

Prior to getting into specifics I just want to introduce myself.
Started webdesign in 1992, back then no editors, no google, did all the html coding in notepad saving as *.html testing each step for its result in the browser.

Have come a long way since, but have to admit that speed of development has left me behind. Today I need coders for php and dont understand a bit about their work, and seem to be even too dumb to grab the idea of CSS. (Thanks God for a wife thats 20 years my junior :-) ... She is great in that respect too!)

Now I head a company that owns and operates some 600 great TLD's which all are coming up for renewal early next year. So I need to find a solution for the cheapest possible way to possibly become our own registrar (the resellers****.*** version is a no-no, had my go with them already. Am not spelling the name of that company since I found that its against forum policy to post real company names, which is a pitty)

I plan to do a lot of reading up here today, have seen a bunch of really intersting topics and posts already.
Will post more once I know my way around here a bit better.
Dont want to step on anybody's toes by posting too soon.

So, feel free to contact me, since I'll be here today all day long (more or less).

Thanks to the admins (I know how much work a forum is!) for maintaining this great source of information!
