Thank you, on behalf of all the webmasters you've helped.

Congratulations, Jim, on reaching such a milestone! :)
5:10 pm on Apr 27, 2009 (gmt 0)
Jim, you have helped me more times than you are aware. So often I've searched for solutions to a problem and found a post here at WebmasterWorld with your name beside the solution.
My goodness - 20K posts in 7 years - that's an average of almost 8 per day!
5:25 pm on Apr 27, 2009 (gmt 0)
Unbeatable knowledge, unbeatable patience, unbeatable civility, and a sense of humour too.
The webmaster's webmaster.
Thank you, Jim.

Congratulations on the post count and wholehearted thanks for all the knowledge you have so generously shared here!

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all of the contributors -past and present- to the Apache forum: Andreas_Friedrich, key_master, jd01, Marcia, carfac, phranque, wilderness, encyclo, gergoe, TheMadScientist, coopster, g1smd, Caterham, and many, many more.
I've undoubtedly forgotten many others; Omissions due to my imperfect memory do not diminish the value of their contributions to the community.
Thanks also to all of the other volunteer mods and admins not already in that list who've helped me to keep the forum tidy.
And finally, heartfelt thanks to the late DaveAtIFG, who mentored me in the early days. The Apache forum is one of his legacies -- and I hope, a worthy one.

i've worked it out and it is seven years x 365 days divided by time spent sleeping and doing other things means that you must have averaged more than 60 posts every hour since the moment you were born to get to that figure. that is assuming you are now about fifty years old.
and even if you used two keyboards and two hands and typed two at once, that is still amazing
10:20 pm on Apr 27, 2009 (gmt 0)
... and I thought I posted a lot!
Jd has double the posts that I have, and in only a few months more.
Now. Will I get to 20K before jd hits 40K? I think not. :)

i know i haven't been much help since i started moderating other forums, but i genuflect toward the apache forum on a regular basis.
as far as i am concerned your contributions there are a paragon of selfless commitment to the community.

Mind-boggling numbers, that's for sure. But the quality posts are what really make this such a feat. Congrats, JD. And thanks for all that unselfish effort.

Jim - I can't thank you enough for your brilliance and generosity over the years. The 20K says a lot, but even that impressive a number doesn't say it all. Thank you.

That's an impressive body of work you've put together jdMorgan! Thanks for all your contributions. You've helped me out more times than I can remember.

I also have to add my name to this ever growing list, without your support and knowledge dealing with mod rewrites etc I would never be where I am today :)
11:06 am on Apr 28, 2009 (gmt 0)
Jim's knowledge of .htaccess and mod_rewrite is nothing short of legendary, and his contributions here are priceless.
Jim, you've helped more people than you'll ever know.

I thought I had already posted this, but I guess not - anyone besides Jim, Ted and Brett ever reached 20K?
Maybe Dave (the ex admin, but I forget his old nick)? ?
