Blocked at the log in area

If I owned this website I'd put an Alert message at the log in area for first time users.

Many people are used to copying and pasting their password into a log in box. You can't C&P here for something like that!

I wasted a lot of time trying to figure why my password wouldn't take! I made multiple attempts trying to copy and paste it, 4 or 5 attempts. It didn't work until I methodically typed it in by hand.

Our time is valuable. You run the risk of eschewing new users who are can't log in for their very first time on this website by trying to copy and paste, frustrated users who might go to another site and never come back here again. Those new, and now frustrated users, who since bolted, might have quality information that someone here could have put to use!

An alert, warning or message of some type would help.

I sent a message to your crew stating that I couldn't log into your site due to a bug. That's more time wasted for the new user AND your crew, whoever they are, which is another good reason to let people know that copying and pasting a password into the log in box won't fly.

Even better: make it so a person can copy and paste their password into the login box like you can with Gmail and one million other websites and discussion forums on the Internet!

There is certainly no restriction for copying and pasting into the password field for the login here. I've tested this out just now and it works fine. Perhaps, and more likely, you copied the wrong password, adding an extra space at the end or something.

We understand that login can be a time waster, especially for those that frequent this site. That it why if you allow cookies from this site you won't have to login ever again until that cookie is destroyed.

...and Welcome to WebmasterWorld!
