Why a search function on the forum would be good

 10:47 am on Mar 26, 2009 (gmt 0)

As a newbie, joined all of 10 minutes ago, I didn't really want to ask a question that I know will have been asked before, but, like the rest of us, really don't have the luxury of spending maybe 3-4 hours running through all the threads on the CSS forum to see if i can find the answer.

Hence i would think that a search option across the forum threads would be very useful, especially for newbies.

Welcome to WW David. There is a search function. Look at the options at the top of the page, beside the WW logo.

control panel, logout, search, glossary, subscribe, help, library, PubCon, announcements , recent posts, unanswered posts

Ohhh Don't I feel a fool!

Thanks - what that tells me is that I have become so used to looking for the google-like little search text box thingy that i don't even read the headings anymore. I must think about how that would affect visitors hitting my website.... hmmmm

Thanks for your help.

Actually the search function in here is not all that obvious. Many people miss it and it probably should be more obvious.
