Post edit grace-period
Editing spelling and formatting mistakes

Whatever happened to the grace period for editing posts so that the 'edited by' line doesn't appear?

Perhaps it was open to abuse, but the opportunity to edit posts for spelling and grammar (even if only a minute or so was granted) was a very user friendly feature of BestBBS, or at least I thought so anyway (but then, I'm a stickler for grammar and punctuation).

I agree - a few mins grace period is really in order: maybe don't allow it if there is a new post after yours.

This is a known bug which affects members who have upper-case characters in their user name - this unfortunately includes both of you. ;) This will hopefully be fixed soon.

Not to ignore the advice on the other thread, but is this a recent bug? It's been a good few months (probably longer) since I had an edit grace-period. I just assumed the feature had been removed.

not recent but slotted to be sorted in this bunch of code fixes, I hope

You've been noticing a lot of different glitches and have been really great about pointing them out. Thanks for that. Sorry that your oft-used features aren't working right now - I know how frustrating that can feel.

I really appreciate your help (and patience)!
