WebmasterWorld Community Center Forum

Hi I'm new.
Introduction of new member

 3:04 am on Jan 8, 2008 (gmt 0)

My name is Robin. I am a professional photographer, and author, and a webmaster.

I looked around Webmaster World and this site is quite excessive. I like that. I hope I can be a worthy advocate for the site and I look forward to meeting the regulars here.

That was a good laugh for this morning. Thank you lawman. I'm still smiling. Of course I just woke up so the groggy+silly is just what the doctor ordered.

I'm looking around the site. It is so full of resources. *whew*! This site is inspiring. I love being inspired.

I just redesigned my home site (cv) and am very focused in my posts (I've found my niche!) --> 'web', 'photography', 'success' and on sunday's it's something funny from any of those three topics. I'll have many many things to blog about on my website from what I will find/learn here. \\-_-//

Just by looking to where the three of you have been recently (from your profiles), I cannot believe I didn't join sooner; I had an itch to be a part of a forum again. I think I was on vacation or something.

My old forum (where I learned most of my skill) had a great bunch of regulars. But the site has problems. Not enough of a posting membership and the owner of the site has had two outages that I know of where the site has been down for over two weeks at a clip. But the threads support full html so it's still a fun place to post/lurk.

I learned enough html and css at my old forum to fuel my desire for a long long time. It's really all I need (well maybe a little javascript too.) I'm sure I'd be great at php but I'd have to learn how to change my server (hello apache forum) and ajax is AMAZING but I'm not sure I'm ready to teach myself another skill from scratch. I'd probably take a college course and then discuss here.. and I don't have plans to do that anytime soon either.

I'm not sure what Webmaster World has in store for me, but I love to learn and it seems there is much to gain from the database here.

Thanks again for saying hi to me jatar, lawman and phranque. I hope I get to post with you again soon.
