April 1st (I guess).
Also you can filter them out your self - just block googlesyndication.com on your box

I'm sure this will be a nice experiment for Brett to see how much money he could actually get... hopefully he donates it all to a charity...

Which reminds me... Brett, I need a new car...

Why on the 1st Apr? Is it a coincidence? Brett never makes any blunders, even on fool's day he can mint money :).

This day is surely an 'excuse' to make $1K!

That's what you call a true capitalist 'april fools' joke!

Perhaps the April Fools joke is that it's not an april fools jokes :)

I'm surprised by how I don't actually mind them.

Why on the 1st Apr? Is it a coincidence?

As far as I can tell, they started at about midnight Eastern.

I'm surprised by how I don't actually mind them.

I don't mind the existance of the ads, but I mind the large font size on some of them, and the fact that they don't integrate with the site's table structure, making them look crammed in.

But that's what makes them fun! Though he could have come up with some really garish colors instead of the standard blue.

Geez, they moved my thread from Foo. I thought it was rather fooish.

added: I spoke too soon, Garish has arrived. Love the bright red and yellow! ROFL

I don't mind the Adwords at all. Why should Brett not genereate some direct income with this forum? However I would suggest to offer an additional "add-free subscription model" for those who do not like them.

Shouldn't this be merged with the other 'adsense on WebmasterWorld' thread(s)?

No, this shouldn't be merged, we can see from the first post that it's a different topic:

They don't match my lovely custom violet skin.

This thread is about annej's complexion problems.

Anne dear, just go get a different color makeup, one with warmer tones. Apparently the foundation you're currently using has too much blue in the color mix, giving you "cooler" skin tones, which is causing the clash.

I recommend Revlon Age-Defying Makeup. We ladies who are older than sugarrae need all the help we can get.

Well, they're gone now.

Pity you just went out and bought all that garish make-up Anne! Though, I must say, on you it looked divine! :) :)

I'm not so sure about that garish red lipstick with the bright yellow eyeliner. If it has stayed I'd have had to re-customize my skin to a soft peach.

Maybe I will anyway. I'm tired of lavender.

They should keep the Adsense here except for the supporters forum - that'd be a good balance between those who pay don't get ads and those who don't pay do get ads. (But maybe not 3 ad blocks and def better integrated.)
