Hello, I can not seem to find much in the way of tcp/ip enabled sensors that do not break the bank.

I am looking for a way to detect the state of a door, open, closed, changed, whatever. Are there small tcp/ip interface devices that can take input of various sensors? All it needs to do is http get to a url, or send an email, I can take it from there.

Most servers already have chassis intrusion detection through a little switch in the case. You could easily tap into that and put another switch in series with it.

Not the most professional solution but it would certainly work.

William.
