| Windows DNS server abroad for a US targeted site

My developer has offered to host my US targeted site (top level is .com) on their windows DNS server in Pakistan. I currently run the site on a shared server with networksolutions, but due to file upload issues I need to move it to a dedicated server. Running it on the developers servers would save me a bunch of money, but how do the search engines look at that? Other issues i should be aware of? I get a good amount organic traffic to the site. I am not worried about server down time, this is a respected development team.

Oh, and the site load time is quite fast, we've tried that out.
